MOUNT MOTTARONE
It rises between lake Maggiore and lake Orta and the view from its top, which is 1941 meters high, extends from Monte Rosa and the Swiss Alps, to the Maritime Apls and the Po Valley.
Macugnaga
Situated at the bottom of the East face of Mount Rosa, the highest mountain of the Alps, Macugnaga is the also the highest municipality in Piedmont. The touristic success of this town is due to ancient hiking tradition, since 1700. Today is an appreciated hiking attraction also during summertimes.
Valle Antrona

Valle del devero
Alpine valley situated on the extreme north of Piedmont, on the top it creates a wide valley. In winter times a 6km cross-country skiing line is available. In summertimes it is possible to go hiking and trekking.
Santa Maria Maggiore
The main town in the Vigezzo Valley, located between Swiss and lake Maggiore and part of its territory is included in the wild National Park of the Val Grande. Santa Maria Maggiore is a famous mountain touristic destination, certified Orange flag by the Italian Touring Club. It is especially famous for the International Meeting of the chimney sweep and for the Christmas markets.
