“Baveno was the perfect base for my trip to Lake Maggiore, it’s a beautiful, small, quiet town. Carl and Do is in a great location which made getting to and from the airport (Malpensa) very easy, the Alibus shuttle (which must be booked online in advance) drops off and picks up from a bus stop just outside the main entrance. The train station, a supermarket and the ferry port (where boats depart for the Borromean Islands) are all a short walk away. I stayed in an Economy one-bed apartment which was perfect. It had a large bedroom with a queen size bed, small lounge area with a settee, chair and dining table, small kitchen with fridge, microwave, hob and all the necessary utensils, lovely big bathroom with bath and separate walk-in shower. In the hallway, 2 x large wardrobes and a safe for valuables. The staff were friendly and helpful. If you like having your own apartment and the ability to cater for yourself, I highly recommend staying here.”
